Sicilian Black fig tree, also known as “Nero d’Avola” figs, are a variety of fig native to Sicily, Italy. They are known for their deep purple-black skin and sweet, rich flavour. These figs are often prized for their taste and are used in various culinary applications, including fresh consumption, dried fig production, and as an ingredient in desserts or savory dishes.
